Physical Education Class
My goal as a physical education teacher is to provide students with a class full of constant activity while teaching students of all ages the importance of lifelong physical fitness. Providing students with a variety of learning experiences that caters to a wide range of interests allows students of all skill levels the chance to succeed. Respect, teamwork, decision-making, and leadership skills are among the many valuable skills students strengthen during PE class.
Fuel Up to Play 60 Fitness Camps with Indianapolis Colts
Registered our school to be a Fuel Up to Play 60 school which encourages everyone at the school to exercise sixty minutes a day while making healthy eating choices. Organized Colts Fitness Camps where students were led through a variety of exercises by Indianapolis Colts strength and conditioning coaches.
Mini Sports Camps with Franklin College Athletics
Athletes from Franklin College visited school and held mini sports camps during PE class. Students were eager to interact with college students while engaging in physical activity. Students were given the opportunity to learn about various the sports as well as learn more about college and higher education.
Guest Fitness Instructors
Built relationships with fitness instructors within the community to teach students about various forms of fitness. Students learn various exercise methods that can be utilized for lifelong fitness. Zumba, yoga, jiu jitsu, and step aerobics were a few of the guest instructors who led class.
